Buffalo Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

For the patties:

  • 2.5 lbs of ground chicken 

  • ⅓ cup buffalo sauce 

  • 1 red bell pepper; diced

  • 2 scallions; diced

  • ½ white onion; diced

  • 1 clove garlic; minced

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp chili powder

For the toppings

  • 6 brioche buns 

  • 6 slices white cheddar

  • 1 head romaine; shredded 

  • ⅓ cup blue cheese dressing 

  • ⅓ cup buffalo sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken with the red bell pepper, scallions, buffalo sauce, white onion, garlic, paprika, black pepper, salt, and chili powder with your hands until fully combined. 

  2. Form the ground chicken into 6 patties about 1.5 inches thick. 

  3. Heat a grill to 350 degrees. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 8 minutes each side until the center reaches 165 degrees. 

  4. Add the cheese to the burgers and cook for another 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  5. Remove the burgers from the grill and toast the buns for about 5 minutes until golden. 

  6. Spread one side of the bun with blue cheese dressing and the other side with buffalo sauce. Place the burger on the bottom bun, top with lettuce and the top bun and serve.
