Monster Mash Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 cup butter; melted

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 12 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks

  • 3/4 cup crushed pretzels

  • 3/4 cup peanut M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside.

  3. In another larger bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and combined.

  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir with a wooden spoon until a dough forms. Fold in the pretzels, peanut M&Ms, and chocolate chunks.

  5. Let the dough sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes to let the dough stiffen up.

  6. On two baking sheets lined with parchment paper, use an ice cream scoop to scoop out balls of dough that are your desired size, placing them at least 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown. They should still be soft in the middle, as they will stiffen up as them cool.

  8. Cool on the pan for at least 30 minutes before serving.
