Pecan Pie Blondie Bars

Ingredients
For the batter:
¼ cup + 2 tbsp unsalted butter; softened
1 egg
¾ cup brown sugar
⅛ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
¾ cup flour
1 tsp salt
For the topping:
¾ cup pecans; chopped
1 egg
⅓ cup dark corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp butter; melted
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, flour, and salt.
In an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar on medium speed until combined. Add the egg and mix on medium speed to combine.
Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture ¼ cup at a time, mixing to combine between each addition.
Line a brownie pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter.
In another bowl, whisk together all of the topping ingredients. Pour the mixture over the blondie batter.
Cover the pan with tin foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until the center of the blondies are set.
Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
