Tie-Dye Spinach Crackers

Ingredients

  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp all purpose flour 

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tbsp sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

  • ½ tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp ice water

  • ½ tbsp milk 

  • ¼ cup spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 

  2. Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to a food processor and pulse until combined. 

  3. Add the butter, oil, and blend until the mixture reaches a crumby consistency. 

  4. Slowly add the milk and water and blend until a dough forms. 

  5. Separate the dough into two even pieces and place one back in the food processor with the spinach.  

  6. Partially mix together spinach dough and the plain dough with your hands to create a tie-dye pattern. 

  7. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. 

  8. On a floured surface, roll the dough out until it is ¼ inch thick. 

  9. Cut out circles with a circumference of about 3 inches. 

  10. Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes and place on a cooling rack.
