  • ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional for additional heat.
  • Reserved Pasta Water As needed to adjust sauce consistency.

Equipment

  • large pot
  • Skillet
  • Colander

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, then cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain, but remember to reserve ½ cup of pasta water for later!
  2. In a spacious skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef seasoned with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, browning it until fully cooked, around 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, add the remaining butter, and toss in the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the softened cream cheese, then gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and the remaining Cajun seasoning, simmer for 2-3 minutes on low heat until thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  5. Return the cooked ground beef and bowtie pasta to the skillet. Toss gently in the creamy sauce, using reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  6. Plate the Cajun Cream Cheese Alfredo Bowties immediately, garnishing with extra Parmesan or a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
