Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, stirring and cooking until nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic with the browned beef until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Layer mozzarella cheese and sliced potatoes over the beef mixture. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese on top, then pour the beef broth along the edges. Drizzle with milk if desired.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the potatoes are tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
