How to Make
  1. Boil Water: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve about a cup of pasta water.
  2. Drain Spaghetti: Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and let it sit while preparing the garlic mixture.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Combine Flavors: Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil. Gradually pour in reserved pasta water, mixing well until spaghetti is nicely coated.
  5. Add Herbs and Cheese: Mix in chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  6. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan, and optional garlic powder. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  7. Make Bowls: Slice Italian bread or baguette lengthwise and scoop out a bit of the bread inside to create a bowl shape. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously inside.
  8. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place garlic bread bowls on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake Bowls: Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the bread is golden and bubbly.
