- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a large baking dish to ensure easy removal of your casserole after baking.
- Cube the challah or brioche bread into one-inch pieces to allow it to soak up all that delicious custard.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until fully combined.
- Gently fold the bread cubes into the custard mixture. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Pour the soaked mixture into your greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Optionally, sprinkle some extra cinnamon on top.
