How to Make Irresistible Chestnut and Herb Stuffing
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and chopped celery, cooking until they're soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the stale bread cubes, sautéed onions, celery, and roasted chestnuts. Mix them well.
- Gently stir in the chopped fresh herbs. Gradually add the chicken broth, mixing until the bread is moist but not soggy.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Drizzle with the remaining melted butter, cover it with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes of baking to allow the top to become crisp and golden.
- Optional: Garnish with extra fresh herbs before serving.

Notes
Use day-old or stale bread for the best texture and prevent sogginess by gradually adding chicken broth.
