  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Tamari or coconut aminos are good gluten-free options.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup can be used for a vegan option.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish by lightly spraying it with nonstick spray.
  2. Mix together in a large bowl the ground chicken, plain breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, and half of the freshly squeezed tangerine juice until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 2-inch meatballs, placing them snugly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Whisk together the remaining tangerine juice, zest, low-sodium soy sauce, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  6. Drizzle the tangy tangerine glaze over the baked meatballs right before serving.
