  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar You could also use honey.
  • 1/2 cup Water Adjust for thickness preference.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint Leaves Basil or cilantro can be substitutes.
  • 1 tbsp Zest of Orange Lemon zest can be an alternative.

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water. Discard any damaged or soft berries.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the rinsed cranberries with granulated sugar and water. Stir well to mix.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, until most cranberries burst.
  4. Gently stir in the chopped mint leaves and orange zest, simmer for an additional minute.
  5. Remove from heat and let the relish cool completely.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve it with roasted meats or as a sandwich spread.
