How to Make Irresistible Mini Flaky Baklava Pieces
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with melted butter.
  3. Cut the phyllo dough into squares fitting your dish. Layer six of these sheets in the base, brushing melted butter between each layer.
  4. In a bowl, combine your chopped mixed nuts, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Spread half of the nut mixture over the layered phyllo, followed by more butter-brushed layers of phyllo. Top with the remaining nut mixture and finish with more phyllo layers.
  6. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut diagonal slits in the top layers of phyllo. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle warm honey generously over the top right after taking the baklava out of the oven.
