How to Make Irresistible Mini Flaky Baklava Pieces
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with melted butter.
- Cut the phyllo dough into squares fitting your dish. Layer six of these sheets in the base, brushing melted butter between each layer.
- In a bowl, combine your chopped mixed nuts, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
- Spread half of the nut mixture over the layered phyllo, followed by more butter-brushed layers of phyllo. Top with the remaining nut mixture and finish with more phyllo layers.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully cut diagonal slits in the top layers of phyllo. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle warm honey generously over the top right after taking the baklava out of the oven.
