  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh garlic works for a more robust flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking dish by spraying it with nonstick spray.
  2. Season the beef roast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
  3. Sear the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes, browning all sides.
  4. Bake the seared roast in the prepared baking dish, pour low-sodium beef broth around it, cover with foil, and bake for approximately 1 hour.
  5. Rest the beef for a few minutes after baking.
  6. Slice the baguette lengthwise and fill with the thinly sliced beef and caramelized onions. Top with provolone cheese and broil for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
