Instructions
  1. Rinse cranberries under cold water, checking for any soft or shriveled ones that need to be discarded.
  2. Combine cranberries, sugar, and apple cider vinegar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Simmer the mixture once it starts bubbling. Add freshly grated orange zest and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until most cranberries have burst.
  4. Stir in chopped walnuts or pecans for that satisfying crunch.
  5. Cool the relish completely before transferring it to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
