Preparation
  1. Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, coating both sides generously. Let soak for about a minute.
  4. Cook the soaked bread on the griddle for approximately 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Whip the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
