How to Make Cheesy Potato Gratin
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour, then gradually add milk, cooking until thick and smooth. Stir in cheese until melted.
  3. Thinly slice your potatoes to about 1/8 inch.
  4. Layer sliced potatoes and béchamel sauce in a baking dish until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let the gratin rest for a few minutes before serving.
