How to Make Cheesy Potato Gratin
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour, then gradually add milk, cooking until thick and smooth. Stir in cheese until melted.
- Thinly slice your potatoes to about 1/8 inch.
- Layer sliced potatoes and béchamel sauce in a baking dish until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the gratin rest for a few minutes before serving.
