Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 2 lbs Ground Beef 80/20 fat ratio recommended
  • 1 large Onion can substitute with shallots
  • 2 large Bell Peppers any color
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened, ricotta can substitute
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce or soy sauce for gluten-free
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
For the Cheesy Topping
  • 8 oz Provolone Cheese sliced
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
For Cooking
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil or avocado oil

Method
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion and bell peppers until they're soft, about 5-6 minutes, then add the minced garlic for an extra 30 seconds.
  3. Add 2 pounds of ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned, about 7-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and add 8 oz of softened cream cheese, mixing until melted and creamy.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish, spreading it out. Top with 8 oz of torn provolone and 1.5 cups of shredded mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
