Ingredients
  

For the Pork Chops
  • 4 pieces Pork Chops 1-inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 cup Flour (All-Purpose) for dredging
For the Cooking Base
  • 2 tablespoons Butter unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
For the Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic Cloves freshly minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • 1/2 cup White Wine (Dry) e.g., Pinot Grigio
  • 1 cup Chicken Stock (Low Sodium)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (Freshly Grated)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil chopped for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, blend garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mince the garlic, chop the sun-dried tomatoes, and grate the Parmesan cheese. Roughly chop the fresh basil.
  3. Pat the pork chops dry, coat them evenly in the seasoning blend, and dredge in flour.
  4. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter with olive oil and sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Lower the heat and add minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the pan. Cook for 30 seconds, then stir in reserved flour to thicken the sauce.
  6. Pour in white wine and chicken stock, stirring to deglaze the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmesan, continuing to mix until thickened.
  8. Return the pork chops to the pan and let simmer for 5-6 minutes until cooked through.
  9. Serve with sauce drizzled over the top and garnish with chopped basil.
