Ingredients

For the Juice
  • 6 pieces Fresh Tangerines Choose ripe and juicy ones for maximum sweetness and flavor.
  • 1 cup Filtered Water Use to balance the juice; omit for an intense tangerine experience.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or Agave Syrup Sweeten to taste.
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes Perfect for chilling your refreshing homemade tangerine juice.
Optional Garnish
  • 5 leaves Mint Leaves For extra refreshing aroma.
  • 1 piece Wedge of Tangerine For a pop of color.

Equipment

  • Citrus Juicer
  • Measuring Cup
  • fine-mesh sieve

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Gather your tools and ingredients: Grab a citrus juicer, measuring cup, and an optional strainer. Make sure you have fresh tangerines and other ingredients ready for this refreshing treat.
  2. Wash the tangerines thoroughly. Rinse each piece under cool water to remove any dirt or residues. Then, cut each tangerine in half horizontally with a sharp knife.
  3. Juice the tangerines. Place each half over your measuring cup or bowl, squeezing firmly to extract every drop until the juice runs freely, bright and fragrant.
  4. Taste the juice. If you prefer a sweeter sip, add honey or agave syrup little by little, stirring until completely dissolved to achieve your desired sweetness.
  5. Strain the juice if you like it smooth. For a pulp-free experience, pour the juice through a fine mesh sieve to catch any bits of pulp or seeds.
  6. Serve over ice. Pour the freshly squeezed juice into a glass filled with ice cubes, and if you’d like, garnish with a pretty slice of tangerine or a few fresh mint leaves for added flair.
