Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sirloin or Ribeye Steak Choose sirloin for a balanced flavor or ribeye for a richer bite.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced finely.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil.
For the Vegetables
  • 1 lb Baby Potatoes Sweet potatoes are a delightful alternative.
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Chopped.
  • 1 medium Onion Sweet or shallots can be used.
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt Sea salt is recommended.
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Freshly cracked.
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop baby potatoes, bell peppers, and onions into bite-sized pieces, then mince the garlic.
  2. In a mixing bowl, coat the steak with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
  3. Cut large pieces of aluminum foil and place a handful of the chopped potatoes in the center of each.
  4. Layer the bell peppers and onions on top of the potatoes.
  5. Add the seasoned steak on top of the veggies.
  6. Fold the foil to create sealed packets, making sure they are tightly wrapped.
  7. Preheat the grill or oven to 400°F and cook the packets for about 25-30 minutes.
  8. Unwrap the packets carefully and enjoy hot, optionally garnishing with fresh parsley.
