Method
 

Preparation

  3. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until the onion is soft and translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Layer the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Add thinly sliced potatoes seasoned with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Top with cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Pour beef broth or water around the edges and drizzle with milk if desired.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
