- Cut the day-old challah or brioche into approximately one-inch cubes.
- Whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup in a large bowl until well combined.
- Gently fold cubed bread into the custard mixture and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the soaked bread mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
